I will try to explain this where it makes sense. Carolyn did something on her blog called Pay It Foward. In plain old terms what it means is, if you win in the giveaway that I am going to do then you will also do a giveaway on your blog within the year. And whoever wins on your blog will also do one..and so on and so on.

THE ROAD TO HELL is a thrill ride of excitement, sexiness, suspense, adventure, romance and fantasy. I inhaled and devoured this book in two sittings. Jackie Kessler writes with such a vivid imagination for fantasy and details. I could see, smell, and taste every word and action in this story. The characters are unique and all very different from each other. I absolutely loved this book and I am hungry for more.

THE ROAD TO HELL is an excellent urban fantasy/ paranormal romance story that will delight fantasy readers. There is really nothing bad to say about this book. I loved every page, every word. I eagerly look forward to the next book in this series, Hotter than Hell.

The Unnatural Inquirer Review

Hidden in the center of London is a place called the Nightside. In THE UNNATURAL INQUIRER, we are taken back to this spooky place where PI John Taylor lives and works. John Taylor has the gift of being able to find anyone or anything. He’s been hired by The Unnatural Inquirer, a gossip magazine (very similar to The National Enquirer) to find a man named Pen Donavon. Pen claims to have a DVD with proof of the Afterlife. He sold rights to it to The Unnatural Inquirer but then he and his DVD both disappeared. The magazine wants Pen and the DVD found so they offer John Taylor a million pounds to do the job. Normally John wouldn’t work this kind of case, but the money is right so he takes the job.

The magazine sends their demon girl reporter, Bettie Divine, to accompany John on his case. Bettie is the daughter of a succubus and immediately charms John with her flirtatious ways. Suzie Shooter aka Suzie Shotgun is working her own case so she is nowhere around to witness John’s infidelities.

John and Bettie feverently search all over The Nightside for answers and clues to Pen Donavon’s whereabouts. Everyone seems to have heard about the Afterlife DVD and wants to get their greedy hands on it. Does the DVD really show the Afterlife and answer all our questions about whether Heaven and Hell really exist?

Will John be able to safely find Pen and the DVD or will dangerous people try to stop him from completing this case? Will Bettie charm her way into John’s life or will he stay loyal to his true love Suzie Shooter?

THE UNNATURAL INQUIRER is an exciting urban fantasy novel with tons of magic and adventure to keep readers glued to the pages. This was my first Simon R. Green book and I will definitely be looking for the others in this series. There was enough back-story for me to follow along without having read the prior books. Green introduced his characters, their appearances and personalities in this book as if it was the first, instead of the eighth in his series. This is a great thing to do because then readers can pick up any book in the series and follow along without feeling like they missed something.

I thoroughly enjoyed riding along with John Taylor through the Nightside and I look forward to another adventure with this dangerous and ruthless PI. THE UNNATURAL INQUIRER is a fun book that fantasy readers will really enjoy.

SCREAM FOR ME is exhilarating, white knuckle suspense that will keep you turning the pages breathless to find out what happens next. This is the best book that I have read in a while and I was very impressed by Rose’s writing. The suspense is non stop and never lets up until the very satisfying conclusion. SCREAM FOR ME is captivating, thrilling and exciting from the first word to the last.

DIRTY MONEY REVIEW

DIRTY MONEY is the newest book in the Parker Series and the continuation of the previous book NOBODY RUNS FOREVER. In NOBODY RUNS FOREVER, Parker and his partners in crime robbed a bank in transit. After finding the police were too hot on their tail, they had to leave the money behind in a safe keeping spot, an old abandoned church.

It’s only been a week since the robbery, so the police are still working in full force to find the culprits. They have wanted posters up and roadblocks everywhere to search the drivers and cars passing through the town. There is no way for Parker to just walk into the church and off with the money, without getting caught.

The serial numbers on the stolen money are all known by the police, so even if Parker does get his hands on the money, it’s useless unless he can launder it. Parker works with his contacts to find someone who can help him get clean money and a new identity. The police are just one step behind him and so close to catching him in the act. Will Parker be able to outsmart the police or will this be his last hurrah?

DIRTY MONEY is an exciting mystery that kept me turning the pages. This was my first book by Richard Stark so I was unfamiliar with the storyline. I would have liked more characterization and back-story of the previous books in the series.

I was disappointed by the incomplete and abrupt ending to the story. Readers must wait for the next book to find out what happens next. If you are fan of the Parker books, then I am sure you will be happy with this new installment.

If you are new to these books, then I suggest starting at the beginning of his series because this book doesn’t have enough back-story to explain everything going on. Overall, I enjoyed DIRTY MONEY and would recommend it to mystery fans.

Making Over Mr. Right Review

Making Over Mr. Right is a fun Greek mythology fantasy type story about finding true love despite all obstacles. Zoe Degodessa is the Muse of Beauty and daughter to the powerful Zeus. Zeus is a demanding father and Zoe knows better than to ever disobey him. He is sending his three daughters to earth on a mission. Each one of them is to inspire mortals with their special traits.

Kyra will inspire people to believe in good fortune, Chloe will bring happiness to mortals and Zoe will enhance their lives through appearance or design. If they successfully complete their missions, they can freely live on Mt Olympus without any more tests or missions to complete. But if they fail, the sisters will be banished to live on earth until their dying day. There is one rule for the sisters to obey and that is not to fall in love with a mortal. It is strictly forbidden and they must abide by this rule.

While designing store front windows in Manhattan, Zoe meets a very successful businessman named Theo Maragos. Theo is going to be featured in a prestigious magazine and desperately needs a home makeover. After viewing Zoe’s design work he hires her to help him makeover his apartment and his geeky looks. Will Zoe be able to turn Theo from geek to hottie and not fall for him in the process?

As time passes, Theo and Zoe become close friends. How will Zoe return to Mount Olympus and forever leave Theo? Zoe guards her secrets about who she really is and hopes not to break Theo’s heart in the process. Will Zoe’s real identity be discovered or will Zoe be able to successfully completely her mission without any problems?

Making Over Mr. Right is an enjoyable book from start to finish. The characters are engaging and the storyline is original and entertaining. The Greek Mythology added an interesting element to the romantic storyline. This was my first book by Judi McCoy and I look forward to reading her previous books.

Hello to all my bloggy friends!!!

I am doing alot better and I am back!! I still have a little bit of a cough but I am feeling alot better. I have two new reviews to post. I had stopped reading Scream For Me because the review site wanted me to read two others that are coming out first. So now I am done with those and going back to Scream For Me. My review pile is big still and I've barely made a dent in it since I was working for the last couple months. Now I am done and back to reading so hopefully I will be able to catch up. I am still debating the best method to get alot of books done quickly. Do I read all the short books first? But then I am stuck with a bunch of long ones? LOL Anyway, I have quite a few REALLLLLLLLLLLY good looking books in my pile that I can't wait to read. So I need to start reading faster!

Hey TC I love your new blog by the way. I love the American Idol talk on there. So fun! I was really annoyed that Michael Johns was voted off since I loved him so much. My favorite is now Syesha.

Away due to illness

Hello my blogger friendsDue to having a 101 fever and being sick with what I think is the flu, I haven't been online lately. I have been out of work and just laying in my bed whimpering like a sick dog. I haven't been reading much and I just feel crappy overall. I will be back when I feel better....

REVENGE TANGO is the second book in the Nicholas Esperanza thriller series by Jerry A. Rodriguez. But without knowing who the hit men are, he has a lot of dangerous work to do.

Esperanza desperately tries to save Legs before her time is up. Will Esperanza be able to outsmart Devona at her own game and rescue Legs? Or will Esperanza’s plan backfire and make him yet another victim in this sick and twisted game?

REVENGE TANGO is a thrilling, gritty, and erotic story that is exciting from start to finish. There is S&M, harsh language and violence in this book, so cozy readers beware. My only complaint is that readers who are new to this series may be lost for background information on events from the previous book Devil’s Mambo.

However, I greatly enjoyed this thrilling mystery. The characters are well developed and the story kept me guessing and intrigued. REVENGE TANGO is a roller coaster ride with twists and turns from the very beginning. I would recommend this book to thriller readers who enjoy grittiness and erotica mixed in with their thrillers.
